Our Team

Amy’s love of design and illustration began at an early age and never faltered. Earning her Art/Graphic Design degree from Western Washington University way back when Photoshop was a new program, she has worked for a variety of design industries- advertising, editorial and interactive before founding ash design in 2001. Years of creating clean, simple identity design, iconic illustrations, getting to the core of client’s needs, and not settling for mediocrity is her strong point.

While travel to foreign countries used to be her main passion and annual event, she now spends her free time with Jonathan schlepping kids to Japanese school and anticipating the 5th grade field trip abroad in 2013 or so.

With a varied career in software engineering, database administration, sales, marketing and a strange education that encompasses the European Union and Chinese Studies, Jonathan brings a unique and thoughtful perspective to every project.

If you want to make the best use of his skills make sure he understands exactly where you are and where you want to go.  He will get you there.

On a side note, his mother is pleased to announce that the long family nightmare is over now that he has finally cut his hair.

Our muse is a very happy six year old who harbors an obsession with horses and princesses.  She brings enthusiasm to our office and — of all things — a burgeoning knowledge of Japanese.

Our four year old keeps us focused, alert and always on our toes.  His recent attempts with a stolen camera indicate a great interest in photography… or perhaps just his toes.
